Meet
Jarrod
Jarrod is the Berkeley County Councilman for District 2 covering Daniel Island, Clements Ferry Rd, and Tanner Plantation in Hanahan.
He has lived in the Lowcountry for 29 years and on Daniel Island since 2004. Jarrod earned a BS in Finance from the University of South Carolina in 1993. He is the owner of multiple driving schools including Cruise Control Driving School, a locally owned small business with 30 employees focused on promoting safer roads and protecting our children behind the wheel.
As a franchising executive and business owner who helped franchisees open hundreds of businesses nationally, Jarrod understands firsthand what it means to sign the front of a paycheck, meet payroll, manage expenses, and navigate regulations. He knows the challenges small businesses face and the importance of keeping taxes low and government accountable.
Jarrod believes in practical, responsible leadership protecting taxpayers, supporting law enforcement, and ensuring our community continues to grow in a thoughtful and sustainable way.

Jarrod is a business and community leader who makes insightful and principled decisions for long-term value which are driven by conscience, with highly developed communication, diplomacy and relationship skills.
He brings strategic experience from serving on multiple corporate boards, where collaboration, long-term planning, and sound decision-making are essential. Jarrod currently serves as President of the SC Driver and Traffic Safety Association and is the former President of the Daniel Island Neighborhood Association. In each role, he has worked to bring people together, solve problems, and strengthen the community.
Jarrod serves as a Berkeley County Councilman representing Daniel Island and Hanahan, where he has focused on responsible growth, infrastructure planning, and preserving quality of life.
Jarrod and his wife, Alisa, reside on Daniel Island with their lovable and loyal Weimaraner, Zoe. He remains deeply committed to preserving the values, freedoms, and sense of community that make Daniel Island and Hanahan strong.
